This will be my last post everyone 😦 The last post for 2013 that is! 😀
Just a few hours to go now before we bid adieu to the year 2013 and welcome 2014 with warmth and happiness, hoping to have a joyful, safe, healthy, peaceful and successful new year, so here’s wishing you all a very Happy New Year! 🙂
So coming back to the topic of the post, here are some of the things that you need to lookout for when you go bird-watching because you never know, you might get so engrossed into the activity that you miss out on a few ‘other’ things in the process 😀 As you might have noticed from the picture of the Mugger Crocodile above, bird watching can be a dangerous yet rewarding, exciting, adventurous and fun filled activity 😀
Now lets see what I meant by the ‘other things’
It might turn out to be the moon for example, if you are an early riser, and wake up at 4 in the morning to be able to reach your destination
Or maybe a beautiful sunrise..
Berries for the morning breakfast 😀
Or even Custard Apples! 😀
And better be careful when you go pick fruits from trees, there is every possibility of a bee hive close by 😀
Don’t miss out on the beautiful green paddy fields when you go for some monsoon birding 🙂
Or even waterfalls here and there 😉
Oh and never forget the flowers, they are every where 🙂
You might encounters lizards of all shapes and sizes too
And yes be careful of the Macaques, they tend to steal things from you!
Cats are everywhere, but don’t you miss the big ones okay? 😀
Elephants are lovely to watch too 🙂
Beware of snakes here and there! 😉
And where there are Snakes there are Mongooses too 😀
Consider yourselves lucky if you happen to find the endemic Malabar Giant Squirrels though! 🙂
Oh you might also find one or two World Heritage Sites here and there! 😀
Never miss out on the stunning landscapes…
Or the beautiful sunsets! 🙂
And last but not least, always pay attention to the occasional bird….
Or two! 🙂
See what you’ve been missing? Well it actually depends on where you choose to go when you go bird watching 😀 because you’ll never find a full grown Mugger in your backyard will you? 🙂 Yes you have to go out in the field in the burning sun or heavy rains or chilly winter mornings but the thing is, when you are passionate about something,be it anything, then nothing can stop you! 🙂
Happy New Year Everyone! 🙂
